Hamas threatened "jihad", and Israel stood firm against the suffering of Gaza people.

Special topic: Israeli army’s large-scale air raid on Gaza Strip.

BEIJING, Dec. 29 (Xinhua)-Hamas leaders who control the Gaza told the Palestinian people that no matter what force Israel uses against them, Gaza will never give in to Israel. According to Iranian media reports, Hamas’s foreign propaganda officials even said that "the only way to fight back against Israeli crimes is to launch jihad and uprising".

After Israeli air strikes in Gaza killed 287 people, a pro-Hamas website published a letter from Hamas leader Chana to the Palestinians, which said: "We will not leave our land, we will not surrender, and we will not kneel down and give up." Chana said: "There are blood everywhere and martyrs everywhere. There may be more people injured and sacrificed, but Gaza will never surrender. "

In the face of Hamas’s threat, the Israeli side showed no weakness and took a tough attitude. The Israeli cabinet passed a decision on the 28th to recruit reservists. It is estimated that Israel will mobilize at least 6,500 reservists. Israeli authorities also said that they bombed more than 40 tunnels on the border between Gaza and Egypt for smuggling.

Israel also warned that it would launch a ground offensive against Gaza if the current air strikes failed to stop Palestinian militants from firing rockets and mortars into Israeli territory. At a cabinet meeting, Israeli Prime Minister Olmert warned his colleagues that the battle would be "long, painful and difficult".

Both the Hamas organization and the Israeli army have their own "weapons". The Israeli side dispatched regular troops, tanks and military aircraft to carry out large-scale military operations, while Hamas dispatched suicide bombers, guerrillas and rocket launchers. The intransigence between the two sides will inevitably lead to greater casualties, and the first victims are the people.

According to current statistics, since the Israeli bombing of Gaza, 287 Palestinians have been killed and nearly 1,000 injured. The major hospitals and clinics in Gaza are currently overcrowded, and the humanitarian crisis is very serious. Doctors say they can’t cope with such a large number of injured people. They said that there is a shortage of hospital beds and medicine, and more plasma is urgently needed to help the wounded.

Egyptian officials said on the 28th that a large number of Palestinians wanted to cross the border and enter Egypt to escape Israeli air strikes. The local refugee problem will worsen, and it will inevitably trigger the resentment of refugees. Terrorist attacks against Israel may increase greatly, and ordinary people will still be victims.

Although the Hamas organization and Israel’s tough attitude at this stage can win the support of some Palestinians and Israelis respectively in a short period of time, with the stagnation of the peace process, large-scale conflicts are in danger of being prolonged, and ordinary Palestinians and Israelis are still the ultimate victims.
